This leading lady or “Beauty” as you will, is so sassy and self-aware. The story is a mix of Taming of the Shrew and Beauty and the Beast. I started this book after chatting with the author at this year’s Shameless BookCon and experiencing how excited she was about it and why. With that being said, THIS IS MY FAVORITE AMALIE HOWARD BOOK (so far at least)!!!!! From start to finish I was completely hooked. Since that initial meeting I have greedily searched for and read every historical romance book with her name on it.
